Portland Jewish Academy is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland and is proud of our partnership with them in strengthening our local Jewish community as well as the global community.

AfterSchool Care

Working families deserve the comfort of knowing that their children are well cared for during the hours they cannot be at home with their families.

PJA offers supervised before-school and afterschool care for Kindergarten through 5th grade at Portland Jewish Academy and local public schools in Southwest Portland, as well as 3 other locations within Portland.

The Teen Zone

Perfectly suited to PJA middle schoolers and students from other Portland middle schools as well, the Teen Zone at the MJCC offers both structured and unstructured time for 5th through 8th graders to be together after school in a supervised environment. Cool activities can include rock climbing, soccer in the MJCC SportsPlex, movies in the Zone, and community service projects. There’s also time and room to focus on homework or quiet games.

IB at PJA

Portland Jewish Academy is the only International Baccalaureate® World School Candidate in the Portland area for both the Primary Years and Middle Years Programmes.
