PJA Grandfriends day FAQ

What is grandfriends day?

Grandfriends Day is a wonderful opportunity fo your child(ren) to share a morning or an afternoon with a grandparent or special friend.  An activity is planned that all participants can enjoy whether they are four (4) or 94.

when is grandfriends day?

This year Grandfriends Day is Thursday, May 24, 2012.  The Child Care program will take place from 9:00 - 10:00 AM.  The Preschool and Full Day Ganon program will take place from 10:15 - 11:15 AM.  The PJA program will take place from 1:30 - 3:05 PM.

what is the program?

PJA Child Care Grandfriends will join children in their respective Infant Toddler rooms for a visit, activity and snack.

PJA Preschool Grandfriends will join children in the Stern Family Ballrrom for some singing and a short program.  Grandfriends will then follow students to their classrooms for shmoozing, and lots of "shepping naches," great joy from the children.

PJA Day School Grandriends will arrive at 1:30 PM, and be escorted to the Stern Family Ballroom for tea and snacks followed by an assembly.  Lots of "naches" here, too!

what if i have more than one child in the school?  what if my kids have cousins at pja?

We typically group all family members together in the classroom of the youngest child (this minimizes our young ones from wandering!).  You may request another arrangment that better suits your family.

how about children in both the preschool and day school programs?

We have scheduled the programs to take place one right after the other, so Grandfriends are able to stay all day!

How will our grandfriend heAR about this?

This year we emailed our parents, to forward to the grandparents or special friend in your lives.  It is very important that you send these out as soon as possible to ensure that your child(ren) and their grandfriends enjoy this special time together.  Please be sure to have your grandfriends RSVP with their name and address as soon as possible to either Molly or Richard.

may a grandfriend who is unable to attend send a letter?

Yes!  Address the letter to your child(ren), care of PJA, marked "Attention:  Grandfriends Day".
