Our Mission
We are dedicated to the care, education, and development of children and youth during their out of school time. Emphasis is placed on promoting life skills through community service and enrichment-based programming.

The Kidsplace Philosophy

Enrichment-based programming
Kidsplace follows a philosophy of teaching developed by the National AfterSchool Association (NAA).

Child-friendly environment
At Kidsplace we create an atmosphere where children can socialize, prosper, learn and enjoy themselves.

Parent involvement
We create a partnership between parents and teachers for the benefit of every child. Our doors are open to parents at all times and we welcome families to drop in and observe, have snack and hang out with their children.

Dedicated and caring staff
The strength of our program is in the dedication of our teaching staff. We support teachers with many training opportunities and resources to grow professionally. Teachers have freedom to create unique learning experiences for the children.

School Partnership
With the program located inside the school, a close relationship develops between the Kidsplace program and the Skyline school staff and school events.

Enrichment-Based Programming & The Kidsplace Environment
We encourage children to become responsible, self-confident, independent, active explorers and enthusiastic learners by stressing the process of learning and discovery through developmentally as well as age-appropriate activities that meet their interests. The activities and environment at Kidsplace are specially structured to address the interests and development levels of children in Kindergarten through 5th grade by offering:
  • Reserved Gym play time
  • Well-equipped indoor activity centers
  • Areas for reading and relaxing
  • Large outdoor play area & play structure
  • Enrichment activities that may be new to children
  • Community service activities promoting positive life skills
Enrichment activities may include:
arts and crafts, group games, homework center, science projects, cooking projects, language and culture study, community service, music, story time, and indoor games. Kidsplace offers children a premier setting for learning to make good decisions, trying out new skills and making new friends.
