Thank you for your interest in the Portland Jewish Academy’s Afterschool Enrichment Programs! Our mission is to create, build, and maintain programs dedicated to the care, education, and development of children and youth during their out of school time. Emphasis is placed on promoting positive life skills through community service and enrichment based programming. We dedicate ourselves to providing the finest afterschool care in the city. Children are regularly exposed to diversity, arts, science, service, games, and more. PJA welcomes all children and staff regardless of their religious affiliation.
Our programs are located throughout the city, in SW, SE & NW Portland serving children in 8 public schools and 1 private school. Our 4 programs are located onsite at the Portland Jewish Academy as well as inside Forest Park, Skyline, and Glencoe Portland Public Elementary Schools.
Each program serves 20-60+ children a day with 1:10 to 1:13 staff to child ratios, providing both Before school and Afterschool Care. Staff shifts vary depending upon the Afterschool program, all of which operate between 6:45AM-6:00PM Monday – Friday.
