Educational Programs
PJA's philosophy is child-centered and developmentally-designed. A low student-to-teacher ratio and small classes create an educational community, where students can achieve their full potential. Teachers know our students well and respond to students' individual needs. Our curriculum focuses on critical thinking skills, hands-on learning, and problem-solving, through individual and group instruction. PJA gives its teachers ample professional growth opportunities, in order to learn the latest teaching strategies, which are mirrored in their lesson plans and curriculum development.

  • Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) is a nurturing place where dedicated teachers create a warm and joyful environment, with an inquiry-based program, that supports creative exploration and physical and spiritual development. Our program has many options to serve families' needs.

  • Elementary School begins with a full-day transitional kindergarten and continues through fifth grade with outstanding arts and sciences, Hebrew and Jewish studies. Our inspired teachers include "enrichment" as part of the core program, with specialists in music, art, dance and an artist-in-residence program.

  • Middle School is ideally suited to the intellectual and emotional needs of the early adolescent. A positive peer group, rich and robust academics and time for exploratories combine to create a well-rounded student. The Jewish studies program teaches critical thinking skills that most students don't learn until college.

  • Afterschool athletics and activities. PJA shares a well-equipped facility with the Mittleman Jewish Community Center, so our students have access to an exceptional range of activities for after school. Gymnastics, soccer, animation, robotics and literary journal are just a few of the activities our students enjoy on campus after school.
