The MJCC Chess Club, made up of primarily Portland Jewish Academy players, has won first place in our region, scoring 17.0/20 and brought home a nice trophy for the school. The team will play for the state championship next month. Stay tuned for more great news from our Chess Club!

Moved by the tragic earthquake in Haiti recently, PJA students have been concerned about the children affected by the earthquake. Students have planned a response that includes motivating the entire school and all grades to respond, both with items and dollars to aid Haitian children.
